Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician to evaluate, design, fit, and manage prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients across our clinics.

You will work closely with physicians, therapists, and staff to deliver comprehensive care and improve mobility outcomes. Responsibilities include patient assessments, device design, fitting, and follow-up, with opportunities to mentor residents and support clinical education.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics, or ABC Board-Eligibility.
• Baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• In states with licensure requirements, ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• Candidates not yet certified but with 5+ years of prosthetic/orthotic experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices and select appropriate materials.
• Take casts, measure, and modify models for fittings.
• Perform static and dynamic alignments during fitting.
• Document clinical notes and patient records thoroughly.
• Provide patient education on device use and care.
• Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians where applicable.
• Support reimbursement activities with clinical documentation.
