Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Certified Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician to collaborate with physicians in evaluating prosthetic/orthotic needs, design devices, and perform fittings with proper alignments. The role includes patient follow-up, documentation, and potential mentoring of residents.

Minimum qualifications include ABC/BOC cert or eligibility, a prosthetics/orthotics degree, and licensure considerations.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC or BOC) or eligible.
• Bachelor's degree in Prosthetics/Orthotics with ABC board-eligibility.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain/maintain state licensure where required.
• Certified in one discipline may service both while completing residency.
• Non-certified or board-eligible with 5+ years of prosthetic/orthotic experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate need for prosthetic/orthotic services.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic and/or orthotic devices; select materials and casts.
• Perform fitting with static and dynamic alignments.
• Provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Mentor residents or new clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety, Medicare and OSHA regulations.
• Meet with physicians and referral sources to review services.
• Plan strategies to meet revenue targets with management.
• Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records.
