Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to deliver high‑quality prosthetic and orthotic care across a large national network.

You’ll assess patients, design and fit devices, document care, and collaborate with physicians, therapists and staff to optimize outcomes. You will work within a comprehensive pay and benefits program, including competitive compensation ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 per year, a strong 401(k), medical, dental and vision coverage, paid

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC, or ABC Board-Eligibility.
• A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and current ABC Board-Eligibility.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s policies.
• In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure may be required.
• May be willing to consider candidates who are not certified or board-eligible but have at least 5 years of demonstrated past experience in providing prosthetic and/or orthotic services under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services and advise on treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic and/or orthotic devices and select materials; take casts and plan layouts.
• Perform fittings with static and dynamic alignments.
• Evaluate device fit, function, and medical efficacy; adjust as needed.
• Instruct patients in use of devices and provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians where applicable.
• Support reimbursement activities and maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
