Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics by ABC/BOC or board-eligibility.
• Degree in prosthetics/orthotics or foreign equivalent with ABC eligibility.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Licensure as required by state; maintain licensure where applicable.
• Candidates certified in one discipline may treat patients while pursuing residency in the other.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and options.
• Assess, design, fabricate and fit prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Take casts, perform static/dynamic alignments and adjustments.
• Provide patient instruction, follow-up care and documentation.
• Mentor residents or junior clinicians and support staff.
