Hanger, Inc. in Rochester, MN is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to deliver comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care within a leading national network.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics (ABC or BOC) or ABC-Eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent; ABC Board-Eligibility.
• Valid driver's license and driving record per company policy.
• In states where licensure is required, ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• May be willing to consider candidates who are certified in one discipline but wish to see patients in the other while completing residency.
• May be willing to consider candidates not certified or board-eligible but with at least 5 years' demonstrated experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate the need for prosthetic and/or orthotic services; recommend treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Select materials, take cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts.
• Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
• Provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians.
• Provide assistance to other clinical staff.
• Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.
