Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join its nationwide network of clinics in Wisconsin. You will assess patients, design and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, and collaborate with physicians to improve mobility and outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence and patient-centered care within a leading O&P provider. You will work with a team of clinicians across more than 900 clinics, leveraging advanced technologies and continuing education to deliver superior patient

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of biomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology.
• Thorough understanding of componentry and its suitability and reliability for specific uses.
• Effective communication for reports to patient and staff.
• Ability to instruct clinical and non-clinical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and recommend options.
• Assess patients and formulate designs for prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Fabricate and fit prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Provide detailed clinical notes and patient records.
• Instruct patients in use of devices and provide follow-up care.
• May mentor residents or new clinicians.
