Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join our team delivering exceptional prosthetic and orthotic care.

You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, fabricate and fit devices, and work with physicians and the rehabilitation team to achieve superior outcomes. You’ll leverage advanced technologies, participate in continuing education, and mentor residents or newly certified clinicians as part of our nationwide network of clinics.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology and anatomy.
• Effective communication skills for clear patient and staff reports.
• Ability to instruct clinical and non-clinical personnel and customers on patient care objectives.
• Active listening and strong interpersonal skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs and recommend treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic and/or orthotic devices and plan treatment.
• Take casts, measure and modify layouts for proper fit.
• Perform fitting, static and dynamic alignments.
• Provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
