Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Prosthetist/Orthotist to join a comprehensive clinical team.

You will evaluate patient needs with physicians, design and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, and provide patient education to optimize outcomes. As part of our nationwide clinics, you will collaborate with CPOs, community care coordinators, and hospital partners while staying current with practice guidelines and advanced technologies.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC, or board-eligibility.
• A bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain state licensure where required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs.
• Design, fit, and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Document clinical notes and patient records accurately.
• Provide patient and family instruction on device use and care.
• Meet with physicians and care teams to review services and referrals.
