Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston seeks a Development Officer, Research and Prospect Development to advance donor relationships through strategic prospect research and portfolio management. You will collaborate with frontline fundraisers, using the Tessitura CRM to generate actionable insights for qualification, cultivation, and solicitation decisions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in prospect research, strong writing, and comfort with relational databases and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of prospect research experience within a fundraising team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospect research using internet, paid databases, and in-house records to produce concise donor insights.
• Identify and assess new prospective donors capable of major gifts.
• Respond to inquiries from fundraisers and leadership to inform cultivation and solicitation decisions.
• Extract and report on prospect activity and portfolio management using Tessitura CRM.
• Support documentation, data entry, and reporting processes; improve data workflows.
