Job summary

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla seeks a Prospect Research Coordinator to identify, qualify, and prioritize prospective donors and organizations supporting the Museum's priorities. This role strengthens the Advancement team and informs cultivation strategies.

The position entails researching prospects, preparing profiles and briefings, and maintaining confidential data across the CRM to support leadership and frontline fundraisers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Two years of recent, relevant experience in prospect research or development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with donor management software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research prospective donors and organizations to identify prospects and opportunities.
• Prepare profiles, briefings, and wealth-screening analyses to support frontline fundraisers.
• Develop prospect modeling and prioritize donors using internal data and indicators.
• Maintain accurate prospect data and assignments in the CRM.
• Produce portfolio and pipeline reporting for leadership reviews.
• Collaborate with Advancement to support fundraising strategies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Occasionally work weekends or after hours as needed.
