Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Prospect Research Officer to strengthen its Development Support team. You will apply data-driven techniques to identify potential supporters and optimize donor portfolios, reporting to the Director of Prospect Development.

You’ll ensure data accuracy in the CRM and contribute to profiles for individuals, trustees, and foundations. You will collaborate across departments to elevate BMCHS’s philanthropic profile among individuals, foundations, and corporations, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years’ experience in development or a similar environment.
• Experience with data management systems strongly preferred, especially Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, MS Office Suite, and related tools.
• Experience with analytics and predictive models.
• Must be extremely detail oriented with strong written/verbal communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Identify individual, corporate and foundation prospects using wealth indicators, philanthropy, interests, engagement and connections to BMC.
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize data from diverse sources to determine gift capacity.
• Create research profiles for individuals, including trustee bios and prospect profiles that are accurate and clear.
• Prepare concise corporate and foundation research products including organizational history, financial data, and priorities.
