Job summary

Blue Origin, in Seattle, WA, seeks a Propulsion Engineer II to own the valve component on the BE-7 Engine Program, covering the full lifecycle from concept, detailed design, manufacturing, test, qualification, to production support.

You will apply mechanical design, materials selection, analyses, and 3D CAD modeling, coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while mitigating risk and controlling costs. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, or physics desired).
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience with valves, pumps, mechanisms, electromechanical actuation, or fluid control systems.
• US citizenship or permanent resident status, or eligible for U.S. immigration status as required.

Responsibilities

• Design valve parts and assemblies, and create drawings for parts, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies.
• Perform analyses including performance predictions and tolerance stack-ups; review CFD/FEA outputs.
• Plan, setup and execute component-level testing; analyze data and report results.
