Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a BE-3U Valves Product Team Lead to own valve development and production milestones, manage the team, and drive cost, performance, and lead-time improvements. You will work closely with operations, supply chain, and other leaders to deliver upgrades while maintaining cadence and cost controls.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous execution, maintain schedule, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering.
• 7+ years rocket engine development or aerospace fluid/mechanical systems.
• 3+ years project and people management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across stakeholders.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute plans to reach valve development and production milestones on BE-3U.
• Hire, develop, and lead a talented team of engineers.
• Identify schedule-critical hardware, equipment, people, and facilities - resolve constraints and fix defects at the root.
• Define, manage, and action KPIs to measure product team success and leverage data for decisions.
• Own the valves team budget and schedule.
• Analyze non-conformance metrics with the quality organization to improve manufacturing performance.
• Coordinate with operations and supply chain to execute upgrades.
• Identify and mitigate valve risks and remove blockers across the program.
• Manage interdisciplinary tasks to improve overall program success.
• Drive clear, consistent communication across all levels.
