Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Structural Analyst II to lead structural analysis of combustion devices, pressurized structures, and heat exchangers. You will perform hand calculations and FEA to evaluate strength, fatigue, and creep, and collaborate with teams to optimize design performance for manufacturing and life-cycle reliability.

Requirements include a BS in engineering with 2+ years of experience and proficiency in ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, and LS-Dyna.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with structural analysis of components and assemblies.
• Familiarity with failure modes: strength, fatigue, creep.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis of combustion devices, pressurized structures, and heat exchangers through design, development, testing and validation.
• Perform detailed hand calculations and FEA of components and assemblies to evaluate strength, fatigue, and creep.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design performance and durability.
