Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a structural engineer to lead the design, certification, and testing of pressurized and unpressurized spacecraft structures for the New Glenn program. You will perform hand calculations, FE analyses, and documentation to support hardware qualifications, while mentoring junior analysts and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering with 2+ years in aerospace structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis codes (Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus).
• Experience with fatigue/fracture analysis and testing.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calculations and FE analysis of aerospace structures.
• Documentation of stress analysis to support drawings release.
• Support test campaigns and produce analysis reports.
• Mentor designers and junior analysts in stress/ fracture analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to develop configurations and trade studies.
• Develop automation for models, strength checks, and reports.
