Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mid‑Level Fluid Controls Engineer to own valve component designs from concept through qualification and coordinate across programs, suppliers, and test teams. You will mentor junior engineers, drive schedules, and help define best practices for engine valves.

You will apply propulsion, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis fundamentals to ensure safety and performance while preparing engineers for a future project management leadership track at Blue Origin Engines.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering experience with valves, fluid control systems, and/or mechanisms including rocket/jet engine exposure.
• Experience coordinating across multiple teams in a technical program.
• Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and hardware fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Own valve component and assembly designs from concept to qualification.
• Coordinate development activities across program leaders and suppliers.
• Manage timelines and mitigate schedule or technical risks.
• Lead design reviews and present status updates to leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design-to-production handoffs.
