Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state seeks a Propulsion Engineer III to own the valve component development for the BE-7 Engine Program. You will design parts, create drawings, perform analyses, and support testing to ensure robust valve performance for spaceflight.

You will work with manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to optimize design, schedule, and cost while addressing technical risks and verification of requirements.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, or physics desired).
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with valves, pumps, mechanisms, electromechanical actuation, or fluid control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design valve parts, assemblies, and drawing drafts for parts and assemblies.
• Plan, setup, and execute component-level testing with data analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supplier and program teams to meet schedules and costs.
• Analyze performance, tolerance stack-ups, and CFD/FEA results for risk mitigation.
