Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks an experienced engineer to support the production and manufacturing of rocket engine components for the BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine. You will troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and drive design improvements for flight production.

This role requires balancing multiple technical issues, releasing CAD changes, and performing root-cause analyses. A BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in aerospace design is expected.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with component design, fabrication, build, and assembly.
  • Experience examining non-conforming hardware and supporting aerospace machining/manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD and large assemblies (Creo Parametric and Windchill PLM preferred).
  • Experience in turbomachinery, valves, or combustion devices.
  • Knowledge of GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5).
  • Clear, effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support production and manufacturing of engine components for BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and resolve non-conforming hardware.
  • Develop design improvements for flight production and update CAD models/drawings.
  • Lead design-for-manufacturability improvements and update assembly procedures.
  • Balance multiple technical issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
