Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an experienced mechanical/aerospace engineer to support production and manufacturing of rocket engine components for BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine. You will troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, implement design improvements, and update assembly procedures, balancing multiple technical issues while working with CAD models and configuration management.

The role requires a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing components, fabrication, build and assembly.
• Experience addressing non-conforming hardware and aerospace machining.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and large assembly models; Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Experience designing turbomachinery, valves, or combustion devices.
• Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Clear communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and resolve non-conforming hardware.
• Develop design improvements for rocket engine components and assemblies.
• Update assembly procedures for flight engines identified through root cause analyses.
• Release CAD changes using configuration management processes.
• Balance multiple technical issues to enable transition to production.
