Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring an Avionics Electrical Engineer to design critical propulsion electronics for current engines and next‑generation propulsion systems. You’ll develop analog and digital circuits, lay out PCBs, and ensure hardware meets rigorous flight‑test standards across the full lifecycle from concept to production and flight operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electronics hardware design and development.
• Hands-on experience with analog circuit design, PCB layout, and hardware testing.
• Experience with lab work and troubleshooting with test equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and independent working abilities.
• Good communication for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design analog and digital circuits for propulsion system electronics and control systems.
• Develop PCB layouts and coordinate with manufacturers to build hardware assemblies.
• Test and debug electronic assemblies in lab environments and support flight testing.
• Collaborate with propulsion and systems engineers to define requirements and interfaces.
• Support hardware through full product lifecycle from concept to production and flight ops.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation and analysis.
• Work with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet production requirements.
