Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design avionics hardware for rocket engines. You will develop analog and digital circuits, validate designs through prototyping and testing, and ensure compliance with system and quality requirements throughout the product life cycle.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, hands-on circuit design skills, and experience with EMI, grounding, and high-reliability aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7 years of professional experience including 5+ years in electronics hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design, analysis, testing and debugging.
• Expert knowledge of Op-Amp circuits for instrumentation and signal conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of analog instrumentation measurement circuits for rocket engine conditions.
• Electrical design of actuator circuits for solenoids or electromechanical servo systems.
• Interpret systems engineering and quality requirements for electrical product development.
• Develop circuits, boards, and rugged hardware across the product life-cycle from concept to release.
• Support risk analyses (FMECA), DFx, and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.
• Manage design schedules of avionics subsystem and present program status.
• Identify root cause failure modes using fault trees and fishbone methodologies.
