Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking an Electrical Responsible Engineer III to own the end-to-end build, test, qualification, and delivery of avionics boxes for our engines program. You will design and analyze circuitry inside the box and work with design, test engineers, technicians, and leadership to push builds forward.

The role requires hands-on analog/digital circuit experience and experience taking electronics through full qualification, with a passion for Blue Origin’s mission to enable

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electronics hardware development and test.
• Hands-on analog and digital circuit design, analysis, test, and debug.
• Experience taking electronics assemblies through full qualification, including Shock, Vibration, Thermal, EMI tests.
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with data reduction/analysis and system troubleshooting in a lab/test environment.
• Ability to earn trust and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of and responsibility for build, test, qualification, and delivery of completed avionics boxes to engine customer.
• Troubleshooting, documentation, and disposition of non-conformances during product lifecycle.
• Electrical design & analysis of sub-circuitry, including analog instrumentation, digital communication, power electronics, motor drives.
• Track and maintain box and board configurations across builds and test campaigns.
• Routinely present program status and issues at reviews.
• Identify root cause failure modes using formal methodologies (e.g., fault tree).
• Interface with engineers, technicians, and leadership to execute tests and tasks.
• Coordinate with internal manufacturing/customers and external board houses to push builds forward.
