Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to shape avionics hardware for spacecraft programs. You will design, develop, and test electronic systems from component to integrated levels, including prototyping, wiring harness work, and sensor interfaces, to support mission objectives.

You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, and systems engineers to define vehicle architectures, ensure lab readiness, and support flight hardware through testing and launch campaigns.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of avionics and power hardware development experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and reworking wire harnesses and prototypes.
• Understanding of common circuit analyses (Worst Case, Derating, Power, Timing).
• Experience with space radiation design considerations and sensor interfaces.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layouts (Altium/Cadence).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test spacecraft avionics systems.
• Lead design and analysis of vehicle power systems and distribution architectures.
• Perform hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of hardware for rapid prototyping.
