Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. is seeking a Proposal Assistant to support the development and submission of compliant, compelling proposals for heavy civil construction projects.

You will gather project information, prepare materials, maintain resources, and coordinate with business development, estimating, and operations teams while learning Traylor's processes and markets.

Travel may be required for meetings, site visits, and company events as part of pursuing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or related field
• Up to three years of experience in heavy civil construction or engineering preferred
• Strong writing and proofreading abilities, with attention to detail and format

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents to identify requirements, forms, deadlines, and submission instructions.
• Prepare and organize proposal materials, boilerplate content, resumes, and project descriptions.
• Coordinate with business development, estimating, operations, and subject-matter experts.
• Perform routine quality-control reviews for spelling, grammar, formatting, consistency, and adherence to standards.
• Maintain proposal databases and resources, ensuring information is current and accessible.
• Assist with presentations, meeting prep, rehearsals, and logistics for pursuit interviews.
• Meet deadlines, manage tasks, and communicate progress and issues to the team.
• Develop knowledge of Traylor's projects, capabilities, markets, and processes.
• Travel may be required for meetings, site visits, and events.
