Accessible Space is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance for an apartment building in Rochester, MN. A caretaker unit is available rent free. Hourly rate ranges from $18.80 to $19.80.

This role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe environment and handling routine building/maintenance tasks. The job requires one year of maintenance experience, ability to work independently, clear oral and written communication, and availability Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to interact with individuals appropriately.
• Availability Mon–Fri 7am–6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Carry out duties related to unit turnovers.
• Perform ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.
• Answer after-hours emergency calls promptly and take appropriate action.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks
• Implement required unit and building inspections
• Perform routine errandsObtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work
• Answer after-hours emergency calls promptly (within 15 minutes) and take appropriate action, when necessary.

Property Caretaker / Maintenance qualifications:

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm
