Job summary

Accessible Space, a national nonprofit provider of accessible, affordable housing, is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance person for our apartment building in Hibbing, MN. You will perform minor repairs, maintain a clean and safe environment, handle unit turnovers, and carry out routine maintenance and inspections to protect residents and property.

Qualifications

• At least one year of minor building and maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Effective interaction with residents and staff.
• Available Monday–Friday 7am–6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Perform duties related to unit turnovers.
• Carry out routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.

• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks
• Implement required unit and building inspections
• Perform routine errands
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work

Property Caretaker / Maintenance qualifications:

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs
• Work independently
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm
