Job summary

Accessible Space is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker / Maintenance person for our apartment building in Rochester, MN. You will maintain a clean and safe environment and perform minor repairs to units and common areas.

This role includes handling unit turnovers, coordinating routine maintenance, and assisting with inspections. It offers weekday daytime hours, on-site work, and the opportunity to contribute to residents' comfort while working with a small, dedicated team.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals.
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between 7am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers.
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.
• Answer after-hours emergency calls promptly (within 15 minutes) and take appropriate action, when necessary.
