Job summary

Gables Residential is seeking a Service Manager to lead maintenance operations at our Leander, TX communities. You will oversee the service team, coordinate with the General Manager, and drive preventive maintenance programs to minimize emergencies.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong customer service, and mentorship to develop on-site teams while aligning with budget guidelines and local code requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of apartment maintenance experience
• EPA Certification Type I & II
• Experience supervising a team and coordinating with the GM
• Understanding budget guidelines and procurement processes
• Knowledge of local building regulations and annual inspections
• Mentorship and training of on-site teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee service operations for the community and ensure high-quality maintenance services.
• Lead and mentor the on-site service team, working closely with the General Manager.
• Coordinate inspections to comply with local regulations and safety standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement using approved bidding procedures.
