Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Quality Assurance leader to develop and enforce maintenance quality standards across multiple properties. You will inspect mechanical and common areas, guide on process improvements, and partner with onsite teams to drive safety and reliability.

The role requires a Master’s in Engineering/Building Maintenance and 7+ years of related experience, with travel to various properties to conduct audits and report findings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Structural Design, Building Maintenance or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and industry experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements, standards and methods for the inspection of mechanical and common areas within properties.
• Plan and conduct inspections/audits to ensure properties meet contractual standards and Quality Control standards; communicate issues and deficiencies and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Document data and prepare inspection reports to management on quality assurance activities, issues, trends, and losses.
• Participate in quality audits and design development projects and provide input and recommendations.
• Partner with onsite teams to provide guidance and oversight for maintenance operations, ensuring alignment with goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish preventative maintenance programs and drive safety protocol adherence across properties.
• Organize meetings with maintenance managers to share best practices and ensure initiative execution.
• Influence and coach maintenance teams to strengthen performance and safety culture.
• Provide expert guidance on maintenance optimization, cost efficiency, asset reliability, and risk mitigation.
• Serve on safety committees and lead initiatives to exceed safety expectations.
