Job summary

MRK Partners is hiring a Porter to maintain the overall cleanliness and upkeep of our River Edge, NJ and Wood-Ridge, NJ communities. The role covers 173 residential units across New Bridge Crossing and Wesmont, focusing on clear, safe, move-in ready spaces.

Responsibilities include cleaning, grounds maintenance, and assisting with maintenance tasks. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 10% for portfolio properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Requires valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work; remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas, keep dumpster area clean, and vacuum, sweep and mop.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents; cleans appliances, kitchen cabinets, sink and floors, bathrooms, windows, front door, and touch-up painting as necessary.
• Performs grounds maintenance, including weed removal, grass-cutting and planting; snow and leaf removal from property sidewalks and driveways/parking spaces.
• Cleans property office as necessary; empties trash, vacuums carpets, cleans bathrooms and kitchens; completes janitorial requirements per schedule.
• Assists maintenance technicians in preventive maintenance, capital improvements, or work orders as needed.
