Job summary

RHO Residential is seeking a Porter in Jersey City, NJ. The role supports the maintenance team to keep the community safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and staff. You will assist with daily operations, respond to work orders, and help prepare apartments for occupancy.

Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, snow removal, furniture setups, and timely execution of tasks. A valid driver’s license is recommended and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English fluently is required.
• Basic to intermediate mathematical functions may be required.
• No previous work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the community offices, model units, interior public and common areas neat and attractive.
• Maintain all grounds including sidewalks and building exteriors in good condition.
• Enter Work Order requests from residents.
• Help prepare vacant apartments for rent in a timely manner.
• Collect and remove trash and debris from the community.
• Complete tasks as assigned following procedures and timelines.
• Snow removal duties including shoveling, salting, and clearing walkways and entrances.
• Deliver notifications to residents.
• Transport small equipment between departments.
• Set up tables and chairs for events.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
