Essex Property Trust, Inc. is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Laguna Niguel, CA to support maintenance operations and coordinate service requests, vendor scheduling, and project support.

The role works primarily in person at an Essex office, with some virtual communication when needed. You will collaborate with General Operations Managers and Maintenance Supervisors, prioritizing service requests, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, and providing in-person support as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with property management or CRM software.
• Prior experience in customer service or property management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize service requests and inspections.
• Schedule pre-move-out and final move-out inspections with residents (in person or virtual).
• Create purchase orders and track vendor work orders.
• Schedule vendors for unit turnovers and monitor maintenance progress.
• Respond to onsite emergencies and coordinate with the onsite team.
• Support asset improvement projects with CMS Project Manager as Community Management stakeholder.
• Assist in scheduling property access for projects; facilitate onsite presence when needed.
• Communicate with residents and onsite team to confirm work completion and gather feedback.
