Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support maintenance operations across assigned properties. The role prioritizes service requests, coordinates vendor schedules, and helps on-site teams keep projects on track.

You will work primarily in person at an Essex office with residents and vendors, using virtual tools when needed, and may conduct on-site inspections and meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management or CRM software.
• Experience in customer service or property management is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and with a team.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize service requests and coordinate with residents and vendors.
• Schedule inspections, vendor work, and unit turnovers to maintain timelines.
• Create purchase orders and monitor vendor-related work orders.
• Assist in budget tracking and escalate concerns as needed.
• Communicate progress and outcomes to onsite teams and residents.
