Job summary

AION Management in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations and deliver outstanding resident service at the Piscataway community.

You will handle administrative tasks, leasing activities, and financial duties, while coordinating maintenance and ensuring timely rent collection. This role emphasizes accuracy in Entrata data and lease paperwork, renewals, and compliance with housing laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree highly preferred.
• One-year property management experience or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Entrata experience preferred.
• Real estate license within 120 days of hire in NJ or PA.
• Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk property and grounds, including stairs; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maximize cash flow by minimizing delinquencies and ensuring timely rent collection.
• Maintain accurate Entrata data and lease-related financial records.
• Assist PM to meet revenue goals and monitor financial performance.
• Maintain resident files and payroll reporting accuracy.
• Support leasing team: show apartments, qualify applicants, and prep move-in paperwork.
• Manage renewals, track expirations, and draft renewal leases.
• Ensure service requests are completed within 24 hours and curb appeal maintained.
• Assist in recruiting and supervising team members; handle weekend duties.
