Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in daily operations at affordable housing communities. Responsibilities include leasing, resident support, regulatory compliance, rent collection, and coordination of maintenance and vendor services.

The role covers leadership tasks, resident relations, leasing, financial administration, and office operations, with emphasis on compliance and community oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing, leasing, or site operations preferred.
• Familiarity with HUD, LIHTC, or other compliance programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Step into site leadership responsibilities when the Property Manager is unavailable.
• Provide onboarding, orientation, and training to site staff.
• Deliver responsive and courteous service to residents; coordinate resident services and events.
• Ensure adherence to housing regulations including Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA; support compliance documentation.
• Show units and market the property; maintain waiting lists and assist with marketing plans.
• Collect and record rent payments; prepare notices and assist with accounts payable.
• Respond to inquiries; manage office reception, records, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct property and unit inspections; monitor building condition and safety; assist during emergencies.
