Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our affordable housing communities in Illinois. You will support the Property Manager with leasing, resident relations, regulatory compliance, rent collection, and office operations.

You will coordinate maintenance, manage vendor services, and help ensure HUD/LIHTC compliance while maintaining resident satisfaction and accurate records. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in affordable housing or site operations valued.
• Knowledge of HUD/LIHTC regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day operations of affordable housing communities.
• Provide responsive, courteous service to residents and coordinate resident services.
• Support compliance documentation for HUD, LIHTC and other funding programs.
• Show units and assist with leasing and marketing activities.
• Process rent payments, notices, and reports; track tenant ledgers.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate vendor work and maintenance requests.
• Support on-call and evening/weekend coverage as needed.
