Evergreen Real Estate Group in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations of affordable housing communities. You will assist in leasing, resident support, compliance, rent collection, and vendor coordination to maintain property performance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, process compliance, and delivering courteous, responsive service to residents while coordinating with the Property Manager and site staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing, leasing, or site operations.
• Familiarity with HUD, LIHTC, or other compliance programs preferred.
• Illinois Real Estate License or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
• COS or Tax Credit Certification preferred; ARM or CAM designation a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist leasing, marketing, and resident screening efforts.
• Support rent collection, notices, and account reconciliation with Property Manager.
• Maintain office records, vendor documentation, and correspondence.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and unit turnovers with site staff.
• Assist with MORs, audits, and physical inspections for compliance.
• Provide resident relations and responsive service to inquiries and issues.
