Job summary

Community Housing Partners seeks a Property Manager I to oversee day-to-day operations at a community, building strong resident relationships and coordinating leasing, maintenance, and finances. You’ll supervise on-site staff and ensure compliance with affordable housing programs while maintaining strong occupancy and accurate records.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication to deliver well-run, affordable housing communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, property management, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience with affordable housing programs such as HUD, LIHTC, RD, or similar programs preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements preferred.
• Strong budgeting, rent collection, financial reporting, and expense management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily property operations, including leasing, resident services, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and administrative functions.
• Maintain occupancy of 97% or greater and minimize vacancy loss.
• Coordinate timely unit turns and ensure readiness within 10 days.
• Conduct property and unit inspections and maintain condition standards.
• Monitor financial performance, collections, and accurate reporting.
• Supervise on-site staff and support hiring, onboarding, and development.
