Job summary

MRK is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a 72-unit community in Northeast, MD, ensuring revenue collection, expense control, and compliance with all obligations. The role leads hiring, training, and retention initiatives while delivering strong resident relations.

The candidate will manage budgets, capital projects, and funding certifications, while maintaining meticulous documentation and coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years in property management industry.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience including budgeting and compliance.
• Experience with Public Housing, Project-based Voucher, Tax Credit and Section 8 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property operations including safety, maintenance, marketing, and curb appeal.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets and major capital projects.
• Complete initial applications and annual re-certifications for funding sources (LIHTC, Home, Public Housing).
• Maintain compliant documentation and property files.
• Coordinate timely revenue collection and accounts receivable procedures.
• Manage resident relations and coordinate requests for repairs or maintenance.
• Coordinate candidate interviews and partner with regional managers on hiring and onboarding.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and counsel underperforming staff.
