Job summary

MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Property Manager to oversee daily operations of HUD-assisted housing. You will ensure compliance with HUD regulations, coordinate safety and security services 24/7, perform required administrative duties, and support residents with non-housing services as feasible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of prior property management experience, preferably some in project-based HUD properties.
• Strong knowledge of HUD regulations and tenant communications.
• Possession of a valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to work independently and handle on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the assigned housing property and ensures HUD compliance.
• Plans assignments, repairs, decor, landscaping, and staff education.
• Inspects building interiors and exteriors for cleanliness and upkeep.
• Interacts with residents and families; assists with service referrals as needed.
• Screens applicants, enters data for billing and reporting, and maintains records.
• Collects rents, processes deposits, and reconciles financial records.
• Responds to emergencies and maintains an inventory of equipment and appliances.
