Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support daily property operations, leasing, renewals, and resident relations at our Birmingham-area communities. You will assist residents, process applications, coordinate showings, and ensure a welcoming, well‑maintained environment.

This role requires strong customer service, excellent organization, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in property management or a related field.
• Proficiency in basic accounting and bookkeeping practices.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly assistance to current and prospective residents via phone, email, and in person.
• Support leasing efforts by verifying applications and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing guidelines.
• Assist with staff training and model effective sales techniques.
• Lead rent collection efforts, manage delinquent accounts, and initiate lease terminations or legal action when necessary.
• Contribute to budget management by making fiscally responsible decisions to enhance NOI.
• Maintain accurate resident records, process rental payments, and oversee accounting functions.
