Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a 2-bedroom affordable housing unit in Westminster, CA. You will implement policies, supervise staff, ensure compliance with HUD/TCAC and related programs, and maintain resident files and lease documentation.

You will recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff, process certifications, and manage resident deposits and rents according to program rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
• Basic mathematical skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent application of property rules and regulations, lease documents and report all violation.
• Process, complete and maintain accurate resident files at move-in and at each recertification within established regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct recruiting, hiring and termination processes as well as training and evaluation of all staff.
• Responsible for program compliance such as HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, etc.
• Obtain appropriate documentation, complete certifications and collect deposits and rents per policy.
• Ensure site staff responds to resident requests or complaints promptly and courteously.
• Complete work orders and turnover of vacant units in a timely manner.
