Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking an experienced property operations manager to oversee the day-to-day administration of a 1-bedroom unit property in Los Angeles. You will implement policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff to maintain well-managed housing.

Responsibilities include enforcing rules, maintaining resident files, and coordinating move-ins, recertifications, and unit turnovers while ensuring timely, courteous resident service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Boston Post software knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent application of property rules and regulations and report violations.
• Process, complete and maintain resident files at move-in and recertifications within regulatory guidelines.
• Lead recruitment, hiring and termination processes as well as staff training and evaluation.
• Ensure program compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and related programs.
• Obtain documentation, complete certifications and collect deposits and rents per policies.
• Respond to resident requests or complaints in a timely, courteous manner; complete work orders and turnover of vacant units.
