Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Francisco, CA. This role oversees the daily operations of a supportive housing property and plays a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and stable living environment for formerly homeless or at-risk residents.

The Property Manager will work in a mission-driven real estate and property management environment where collaboration, resident support, and operational excellence are priorities. In this role, you will partner closely with regional leadership, maintenance teams, resident services, and on-site staff to support tenant stability, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high property standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a supportive housing property, including resident relations, occupancy, documentation, inspections, and reporting.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site staff, including assistant site managers, maintenance supervisors, janitorial staff, and administrative personnel.
• Ensure building safety, cleanliness, maintenance standards, and overall property operations are consistently maintained.
• Address tenant concerns, resolve resident issues, enforce lease agreements, and uphold house rules professionally and consistently.
• Coordinate with resident services and case management teams to support resident retention, housing stability, and community well-being.
• Maintain compliance with affordable and supportive housing regulations, including operational records, budgets, and financial tracking spreadsheets.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour.
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
• Location: San Francisco, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage daily operations for affordable or supportive housing properties.
• Supervise property management, maintenance, janitorial, or administrative staff.
• Support tenant stability through resident relations, lease enforcement, issue resolution, and coordination with service teams.
• Maintain compliance documentation, inspections, reporting, budgets, and operational tracking.
• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years of experience in affordable housing, supportive housing, or related property management.
• Experience supervising property management, maintenance, or on-site operations staff.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws, San Francisco housing regulations, property operations, and tenant relations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong conflict resolution, decision-making, crisis management, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
• Willingness to participate in emergency or on-call response rotations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with formerly homeless, at-risk, or vulnerable resident populations.
• Familiarity with affordable housing compliance, supportive housing programs, and resident services coordination.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial tracking skills for budgets, operational records, and reporting.
