Job summary

Greystar, a leading global real estate platform, seeks a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of the property's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include completing work orders and preventative maintenance, making-ready vacant units, managing materials, documenting work, maintaining grounds, and supporting cost-control while demonstrating reliability in all weather and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance per policies and codes.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Accesses and obtains materials from the property’s maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and other paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in grounds, common areas, and amenities maintenance, including cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Attends safety meetings and follows OSHA and safety-related requirements, reporting incidents promptly.
• May inspect work by contractors to verify quality and compliance.
