Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical integrity of Edge Flats in Winston-Salem, NC. You will perform maintenance, make-ready tasks, and safety-focused repairs on a busy rental property.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license for on-property vehicle use. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy and safety rules.
• Execute the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Identify and obtain required materials, track inventory, and notify the supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and in a timely manner for tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-containment by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Periodically inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and report to management.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property
