Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems, grounds, and common areas at a Washington, DC area property. The role involves diagnosing defects, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance to uphold safety and appearance standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready units, managing inventory, documenting tasks, and supporting cost-control initiatives. A flexible schedule, safety training, and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certifications required.
• State and local certifications as required by jurisdiction.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance per safety standards.
• Perform the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing and inspect before move-in.
• Track materials, inventory, and return items to proper locations; notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Document work properly for ticketing and record-keeping.
