Job summary

Greystar in San Diego seeks a skilled Service Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards. You will handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units while following safety and code requirements.

The role supports grounds upkeep and cost-conscious practices on a busy property. You will need 2+ years of maintenance experience, strong repair skills, and familiarity with building mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property maintenance experience; Class A or luxury experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting.
• Experience with building mechanical systems including boilers, pumps, water heaters, and circulation systems.
• Experience completing apartment turns/make-readies and managing a high-volume work-order environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses defects, performs repairs following safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling.
• Manages materials, tracks inventory, and returns unused items to the proper location.
• Documents work accurately for service-request tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists in painting and curb/signage upkeep.
