Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas.

You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units while following safety policies and code requirements. OA duties include maintaining documentation and supporting cost-control initiatives across properties.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair work to meet safety and code standards.
• Accurate documentation of service requests and inspections.
• Compliance with OSHA safety requirements and company policies.
• Use of basic hand tools and rental equipment for tasks.
• Safe operation and handling of materials on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and diagnose defects to repair per policy and code.
• Complete make-ready process, pre-move-out inspections, and schedule vendors.
• Track inventory and return unused items; notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Complete timely, accurate paperwork to document service requests.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Contribute to cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts.
