Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, and amenities up to company standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

The role handles resident work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacants, inventory management, and proper documentation. You will assist with grounds upkeep, cost-saving repairs, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Incumbents must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Incumbents must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and supplies
• Follows procedures to access and obtain materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies re-ordering needs
• Completes documentation and paperwork for service requests to document and track work
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and light maintenance
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools/equipment correctly
